信，给彭校长的信——一道难题的启示——记张悉妮在东湖中学的第一次考试彭校长：你好！
2002年7月17日上午8点30分，我坐在学校4楼第24室第7号的座位上等待考试，心情复杂。数学试卷一发下来，我便争分夺秒地写起来。不一会，前面的题就做得差不多了，看看表时间还多，我深深松了一口气。可是，当我做到最后一道应用题时——不禁傻了眼！我过去从来没有作过类似的题。
这道题是这样的：“粮仓装有大米、小麦、黄豆三种粮食若干袋。其中大米的五分之三与小麦同样多，小麦的四分之三再加上5袋与黄豆同样多，大米比黄豆多28袋。粮仓里共有粮食多少袋？”
看着它，我当时想——是放弃它，还是攻破它？
我犹豫了一会儿，最后还是决定：试一试！
题做完了，但我觉得很没有把握，于是我就把这道题抄了下来，准备在考试完请教一下老师。
这一道难题给我的启示就从这儿开始了。
我找出爸爸给我的一个名片，找他的朋友——香港科技大学数学系教授、博士、美籍华人励建书求教。
我先是给他发去了e－mail，讲明了我的困惑。
